Veronique Cecilia Barretto

Wine and Spirits Director

Cecilia Barretto is a self-proclaimed "wine enthusiast with a sense of humor"—think David Letterman's wit meets Anthony Bourdain's wanderlust, with a glass of wine always in hand. A lover of wine since 2002 (when she was a whisked away 18-year-old), Cecilia's passion for the craft led her to Burgundy, France, where she spent three transformative years earning a Master of Science in Wine Business.

She's now one exam away from completing the prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 4 Diploma Certification, the gold standard in the wine world. But don't let her expertise fool you—Cecilia is the farthest thing from a snobby wine connoisseur. Instead, she's known for making wine education fun, approachable, and full of personality through her business, Vinously Speaking, based in San Antonio, TX. Whether it's a casual tasting or an immersive wine journey, Cecilia brings a refreshing, no-pressure vibe to the world of wine.
